Pool Service Software with Scheduling

What vendor help and marketing pages published about office calendars, recurring stops, dispatch, technician mobile schedules, customer self-scheduling, and plan gates as of 2026-09-19. No winner.

By PoolProStack editorial team · Updated September 19, 2026

A day-view calendar is not a one-click optimizer, and a portal or quote approval is not customer self-scheduling. This page records what six vendor help and marketing pages published about office calendars, recurring stops, dispatch, technician mobile schedules, online booking, and plan gates as of 2026-09-19. No ranked winner. We have not tested these apps.

Scout brief (2026-09-19): Primary pages only. Skimmer publishes a Schedule calendar on Scaling Up and above; Getting Started publishes Route Builder. Do not equate those. Pool Brain publishes a Scheduling page with multi-day views; the full monthly floor is a GAP ($65/tech only). POM publishes daily/weekly map views, not a named calendar or dispatch-board UI. Paythepoolman publishes a repair calendar (month/week/day) and weekly/bi-weekly routes; do not treat that calendar as routine service, and do not infer a tech mobile schedule. Poolside is the thinnest file: today’s route in the app, with office calendar, recurrence, dispatch, and booking unpublished. Jobber publishes day/week/month, recurring jobs, assign/reassign, a mobile Schedule tab, and customer available-time booking on select plans. No winner.

What scheduling means here

Verified fact: Help pages beat marketing copy when they conflict. “GAP” or “not claimed” means the cited page does not make the claim. It is not proof the feature is absent.

Calendar / day view. An office schedule or calendar of work, preferably a day or multi-day view. A route list, a map, or a “scheduling” slogan is not that.

Recurring / repeating stops or jobs. A published frequency: weekly route assignment, repeating visit, recurring job, or the same idea. A one-time work order is not that. Recurring invoices stay on the invoicing guide.

Dispatch / assign technician. A published office or app step that assigns or reassigns a tech to a stop or job. A one-click optimizer is not that; those stay on the route optimization guide. A named dispatch-board UI is a tighter claim than “assigning jobs.”

Tech mobile schedule. Today’s route or stops on the phone. A GPS trail is GPS tracking, not this column.

Online booking / customer self-schedule. The customer picks an available time and books it. A portal, a reminder, or quote approval is not that. That overlap sits on the customer communication guide.

Plan gate. Which of those claims sit on which paid plan. Unpublished gates stay GAP.

Published pricing floor. A list price on a cited pricing or home page. A promo, a custom plan, or a per-tech component is not a full monthly floor.

Units stay on the solo-operator guide, the small-team guide, and the pricing guide. Category cards: /best/scheduling.

Editorial judgment: Buy the screen you will open every morning. A pretty calendar will not replace recurring stops or a tech phone list you promised on the sales call.

Product notes

Skimmer. Back Office publishes a calendar, drag-and-drop scheduling, and a map. Schedule help defines Calendar (scheduled work for all techs), Unscheduled Bin, and Map, and labels the feature Tiers: Scaling Up and above. Pricing puts Route Builder on Getting Started and Schedule plus Recurring Work Orders on Scaling Up. Do not treat Route Builder as the Schedule calendar. Route Builder help publishes tech, day, frequency, start, and end or no end; that article has no tier label. FAQ: daily service is one weekly-recurring assignment per day; work assigns to one tech at a time. Mobile help: Route Dashboard, then move selected stops one-time or permanently. Customer portal and quotes are not online booking. Optimizer stays on the route guide. Floors: Getting Started $1.00 per serviced location, starts at $49/month with 49 included; Scaling Up $2.00, starts at $98 with 49 included.

Pool Brain. Features publish Routing & Scheduling, an Unscheduled section, and multi-day view options. That is a scheduling view, not a page that says “calendar.” Route Schedules: once a week, every other week, every X weeks, or multiple visits per week; activated properties land in Unscheduled. The Scheduling / Routing collection publishes create routes, assign technicians, and adjust schedules. Moves split a covering day from a standing-route change. The September 7 2025 update adds a Scheduling screen in the technician app; default is the tech’s own jobs for today. Online booking is unpublished. Pricing publishes all features and $65 per active field technician. The full monthly total is a GAP. Do not write $65 × 1 as a solo plan price.

POM. Features publish daily and weekly routes, “all of your daily jobs or even a week’s worth on a map,” and Recurring + one-off jobs in one screen. That is a daily/weekly schedule and map claim, not a named calendar UI. The same pages publish real-time appointment changes. A pricing testimonial describes moving from paper to “appointments, assigning jobs.” Treat that as a published assignment sentence, not a dispatch-board screenshot. Dispatch-board UI stays GAP. Pricing: mobile apps “clock in, run the route, submit the visit.” Features: “the whole field day in one app.” Customer self-scheduling is unpublished. Every account is the complete suite; no scheduling add-on is named. Floor: $125 first user, $25 each additional, QuickBooks +$25.

Paythepoolman. Features publish Repair scheduling: a drag-and-drop repair calendar with month, week, and day views, color-coded by technician. That calendar is repairs. Weekly and bi-weekly routes plus due trackers are the recurring-service claim. Do not generalize the repair calendar to routine cleans. Task Hub publishes “Assign any job in the business to anyone.” That is job assignment, not a named dispatch board or an explicit assign-to-recurring-stop workflow. A tech mobile schedule is not claimed: a live progress dashboard, GPS trails, and a Plus payroll app are not today’s stops on a phone. Pool Junction is balances, invoices, bids, and pay, not a booking form. Route Management, Task Hub, and Repair Scheduling are marked Included. Floor on home: $50/month + $15 per technician ($65 at one tech).

Poolside. Home, pricing, and features publish “Scheduling, routes, technicians…” and “Routes & scheduling.” That slogan is not an office calendar. Recurring frequency is unpublished. A live map of who is working, plus alerts the office can assign, is not a dispatch board. The supported claim is mobile: techs “see where to go and what to do at each stop,” and “Today’s route, mapped.” “Book it” is approved work dropping onto a route after quote approval, not a customer time picker. Schedule feature gates are unpublished. List floors: Starter $29.99 (1 tech, 50 customers), Growth $59.99, Pro $99.99, Enterprise Custom. First-month 50% off is a promo, not the floor.

Jobber. Features publish an office calendar with day, week, and month views, a map beside the schedule, and drag-and-drop. App schedule help adds day, week, list, 3-day, and map views, and prefetches today’s list. Recurring-job help publishes weekly, biweekly, monthly, and custom, including multiple days. Features and help publish assign or reassign to team members, including closest-member language that still sits next to the calendar, not instead of it. Online booking help: the customer picks an available time; a job-booking form can land a one-off job on the calendar. That article says select plans and does not name the exact plan for every form type. Pricing lists “Book and schedule jobs online” under Core. Keep that Core bullet and the select-plans line both in view. Core 1-user floors: $49 no-commit, $39 on a 1-year commitment, $29 billed annually. Routing and GPS stay on other guides.

Questions before you sign

  1. On my plan, which of the seven claims are in writing: office calendar, recurring stops, dispatch, tech mobile schedule, customer self-scheduling, plan gate, pricing floor?
  2. Is the “calendar” a day/week grid, a map of daily jobs, or a repair-only calendar?
  3. For Skimmer: am I on Scaling Up for the Schedule calendar, or only Route Builder on Getting Started?
  4. For Pool Brain: what is the written monthly total besides $65 per active field tech, and who may open Scheduling in the app?
  5. For POM: is assigning jobs a dispatch board on my account, or only the daily/weekly map?
  6. For Paythepoolman: is the month/week/day calendar repairs only, and where does a tech see today’s route in writing?
  7. For Poolside: which page shows an office calendar, a repeat frequency, or a customer time picker?
  8. For Jobber: which booking form is on my plan, given Core’s “book and schedule” bullet and help’s select-plans line?
  9. For every product: when a tech calls out, is the move one-time or permanent?

What we are not claiming

We have not sat in a dispatch chair. We are not naming a winner. We are not treating a missing claim as proof a feature is absent. We are not treating a route optimizer, live GPS, a customer portal, or an invoice as scheduling. We are not equating Skimmer Route Builder with the Scaling Up Schedule calendar. We are not inventing a Pool Brain monthly total from $65 × headcount. We are not calling POM’s map a calendar or a dispatch board. We are not treating Paythepoolman’s repair calendar as routine-service scheduling, or its GPS/Plus copy as a mobile schedule. We are not treating Poolside’s “book it” sentence as customer self-scheduling. We are not collapsing Jobber’s Core pricing bullet with every booking-form variant.

Ask for the seven claims in writing on your plan, then move one stop and open today’s list on a phone the same morning, if the vendor publishes both. One-person shops: solo-operator guide. 2–5 techs: small-team guide. Units: pricing guide. Chemistry: chemical tracking guide. Routes: route optimization guide. GPS: GPS tracking guide. Communication: customer communication guide. Invoices: invoicing guide. $0 models: free software guide. Category list: /best/scheduling.
