Pool Brain is cloud software for pool companies: scheduling, billing, chemicals, alerts, and technician management. Its site says it watches chemicals, flow, and cost so issues surface before the customer calls.

Pricing

Verified fact: Pool Brain pricing (2026-09-14) shows $65 per active field technician. That is the only HTML-locked dollar amount. Unlimited office users are stated. Office-user and base totals are unpublished in the HTML. The public slider starts at 5, 10, 15 techs. There is no 1-tech preset and no published 1-tech monthly total.

Editorial judgment: Do not treat $65 as a solo checkout total, and do not treat $65 × 5 as the monthly plan. Ask for a written quote at your tech count. See Skimmer vs Pool Brain, Pool Brain vs Poolside, Jobber vs Pool Brain, Paythepoolman vs Pool Brain, and Pool Office Manager vs Pool Brain.

Features the site emphasizes

Readings can trigger dosing amounts (Pool Brain). Scorecards, drag-and-drop schedules, map progress, and billing in advance or arrears (flat or per visit) are on the marketing site. Software Finder lists offline iOS and Android apps. None of that is confirmed here in the field.

Integrations

QuickBooks Online, Orenda, and LaMotte SpinTouch appear on the vendor site. QBO help documents two-way sync with exceptions, including bundle-line invoices that do not take QBO edits back. Fee unspecified. See the QuickBooks guide.

Breakeven versus Skimmer is blocked until Pool Brain quotes a real monthly total. Run both quotes. No hands-on test.

Verdict

Editorial judgment

Pool Brain fits a 3+ tech shop that wants dosing math and scorecards without a per-pool meter. A solo operator on a tight budget should price Paythepoolman and Skimmer Getting Started first. Get a written quote. The public page does not render a 1-tech monthly total.

Third-party operator comment

Third-party summaries from public review sites, app stores, trade press, or vendor trust pages. These are not PoolProStack hands-on reviews, and they are not anonymous star ratings we invented. Each item links to the source and shows when it was published and when we retrieved it.

Software Finder lists 25 verified reviews (4.8, opened 2026-09-04), including a 1-star accounting and QuickBooks complaint. Software Advice and Capterra profiles exist; this retrieval could not load Capterra or G2 HTML. Public review volume is smaller than Skimmer or Jobber. These items are not PoolProStack field tests.
