Skimmer is pool service software for scheduling, routes, chemical logs, invoices, and customer reports. Skimmer markets it to pool companies, not general home-service contractors.

Pricing

Verified fact: Public Skimmer pricing, checked 2026-09-06.

Plan Base After 49 locations Included
Getting Started $49/mo $1 per location 49
Scaling Up $98/mo $2 per location 49
Enterprise Custom Custom Custom

Billing is per serviced location per month, not per visit. Ten stops at one house still count as one location (Skimmer FAQ). Processor percentage is unpublished.

Editorial judgment: Worked examples from the published formula: 1–49 locations on Getting Started = $49; Scaling Up floor = $98; 80 locations = $80 Getting Started / $160 Scaling Up; 150 locations = $150 Getting Started / $300 Scaling Up. The help FAQ (updated 2026-08-25) confirms 80 locations as about $80 Getting Started / $160 Scaling Up. That is formula confirmation, not a promo. Confirm the count with Skimmer.

The pricing page advertises a free first month on Scaling Up. It also advertises a 30-day risk-free refund guarantee. The help FAQ describes a first month at $49. Those are three different offers. This page does not merge them.

What Scaling Up adds

Getting Started covers basic logs, reports, the mobile app, and a route builder (vendor site). Scaling Up is where Skimmer puts the route optimizer, recurring work orders, the Orenda LSI calculator, and LaMotte (pricing page).

The field app is advertised for readings, dosages, and photos, including offline use. We have not confirmed offline behavior on a route.

Integrations and gaps

Skimmer lists QuickBooks Online, Orenda, LaMotte (Scaling Up), and Stripe. QBO help documents one-way Skimmer to QBO. Invoices and payments sync only when paid. See the QuickBooks guide.

Tradesman Times (2026) notes the Scaling Up per-location fee moved from $1 to $2 in 2024. That is the cost issue to model, not a rumor about whether the product “works for pools.”

Pricing in this file is from Skimmer’s public page as of 2026-09-06. Feature lists follow vendor copy. No hands-on test.

Verdict

Editorial judgment

Skimmer is a reasonable default if you want software built around recurring pool stops and you can live with per-location billing. Model the monthly bill at your next 50 pools before you sign. If that number jumps faster than headcount, price Pool Brain or Paythepoolman on the same route.

Third-party summaries from public review sites, app stores, trade press, or vendor trust pages. These are not PoolProStack hands-on reviews, and they are not anonymous star ratings we invented. Each item links to the source and shows when it was published and when we retrieved it.

Third-party roundups report volume on G2 and Capterra. Field Service Guide (April 2026) cites G2 4.6/5 from 120 reviews and Capterra 4.7/5 from 200. This retrieval could not load G2 or Capterra HTML (bot protection). Dated operator comments below are from Software Finder's 12 verified reviews (4.8), opened 2026-09-04. A small-company reviewer said automatic billing and the customer portal help, and that the cheapest plan cannot send quotes, which is a poor fit if the route will stay under the 0–50 pool tier.
