# Pool Service Software with Invoicing

What vendor help and marketing pages published about invoices, estimates, cards on file, pay links, autopay, ACH, processor fees, and plan gates as of 2026-09-18. No winner.

An invoice is not a pay link, and a stored card is not ACH. This page records what six vendor help and marketing pages published about invoices, estimates, cards on file, pay links, autopay, bank debit, processor fees, and plan gates as of 2026-09-18. No ranked winner. We have not tested these apps.

> **Scout brief (2026-09-18):** Primary pages only. Skimmer help publishes Stripe card and ACH rates and documents AutoPay. Pool Brain help documents invoices, saved cards or ACH, Auto Charge, emailed Pay Now, and Nuvei; the processor percentage is unpublished. POM marketing publishes invoices, Biller Genie, cards on file, autopay, and a 2.9% preferred-vendor rate; POM terms publish a 30 basis-point Stripe application fee. Paythepoolman home and features publish invoices, stored cards, autopay, invoice-text pay links, a $1.50 convenience-fee toggle, and ACH gated to Pool Junction ($25/mo). Poolside home HTML claims quotes and a pay-now link; `/features` and `/pricing` returned the same marketing shell, with list prices on that HTML. Jobber pricing HTML publishes card, Tap to Pay, and ACH rates; Core and Connect help split online pay from automatic payments. Jobber ACH help and invoice/payments marketing URLs hit Cloudflare or timed out.

## What invoicing means here

> **Verified fact:** Help pages beat marketing copy when they conflict. "Not claimed" means the cited page does not make the claim. It is not proof the feature is absent.

**Invoices / estimates.** Create and send a bill or a quote from the app. A service report is not an invoice. A bid is a quote-like document, not a collected payment.

**Card on file / in-app charge.** Store a card (or wallet) and charge it in the product without sending the customer to a separate pay-link hop. Logging cash or check is not that.

**Pay links / online pay.** The customer pays through an emailed or SMS link, a portal checkout, or a "Pay Now" page. That hop is not the same as the office tapping charge on a stored card.

**Autopay / recurring billing.** A scheduled automatic collection after a card or bank account is on file. A one-time Pay Now is not autopay.

**ACH / bank debit.** A published bank-account debit option. A card charge is not ACH.

**Processor fees.** A published percent or flat fee for cards or ACH. A surcharge cap, a convenience-fee toggle, or an application fee is not the same number. Unpublished dollars stay a GAP.

**Plan gates.** Which of those claims sit on which paid plan or add-on.

[Pricing](https://www.getskimmer.com/pricing) keeps Getting Started from $49/mo with 49 locations included, then $1 per extra location; Scaling Up from $98 + $2/pool after 49. The Getting Started card lists Invoicing, Online Payments, and Financial Reporting. [Billing FAQ](https://help.getskimmer.com/article/152-skimmer-billing-faq) (updated 2026-08-07) says Skimmer Billing is included with every subscription and publishes the card and ACH rates above. [AutoPay help](https://help.getskimmer.com/article/166-all-about-autopay) (updated 2026-08-04): AutoPay stores a method for future invoices; office enrollment is cards only; AutoPay does not run on manually created invoices. [ACH help](https://help.getskimmer.com/article/188-all-about-ach) (updated 2026-09-18) is a Stripe US-bank flow on the invoice, with an AutoPay checkbox. **Pool Brain.** [Features](https://www.poolbrain.com/features/) advertise automatic or manual invoices, per-visit or flat rate, advance or arrears, and automatic card or ACH collection with a daily retry. [Create-invoice help](https://help.poolbrain.com/en/articles/10408775-how-to-create-invoices) (2025-09-13) splits monthly auto invoices, close-and-invoice jobs, and on-demand invoices, including a technician-app path. [Save-payment-method help](https://help.poolbrain.com/en/articles/8055628-save-a-payment-method-on-file) (2025-10-31) stores card or ACH for automatic or on-demand charges. [Create-payment help](https://help.poolbrain.com/en/articles/11707329-create-a-payment) (2026-08-27): office Take Payment (cash, check, card, ACH) and a customer Pay Now link; that article still says portal save is coming soon. Later [portal-payments help](https://help.poolbrain.com/en/articles/15525233-manage-payment-methods-auto-pay-in-customer-portal) (2026-06-24) documents portal save, Pay Now, and auto-pay toggles, and says auto-pay applies only to automatic monthly invoices. [Auto Pay](https://help.poolbrain.com/en/articles/8215760-setting-up-auto-pay) (2025-06-10) is an Auto Charge toggle on the route schedule. **POM.** The [invoice page](https://poolofficemanager.com/pool-service-invoice-software) claims invoices that build from finished work, bulk send, cards on file, instant pay, Biller Genie (historic invoices, cards, autopay), and a **2.9% processing rate** with a preferred vendor. The [billing article](https://poolofficemanager.com/blog/pool-service-billing-software) repeats card, ACH, pay now, portal autopay, and surcharges. [Free trial](https://poolofficemanager.com/free-trial) lists Stripe, a customer portal for invoices and autopay, and past-due reminders. [Terms](https://poolofficemanager.com/terms-and-conditions) publish a **30 basis-point application fee** on invoices processed through the POM–Stripe connection, with no monthly Stripe-integration fee. Do not treat 2.9% and 30 bp as one number. [Pricing](https://poolofficemanager.com/pricing) still prints $125 first user, $25 each additional, QuickBooks +$25. Activation-fee copy was absent on the fetched HTML. Status is a GAP. QBO and Desktop object maps stay on the [QuickBooks guide](/guides/best-pool-service-software-with-quickbooks).

**Paythepoolman.** [Home](https://www.paythepoolman.com/) and [features](https://www.paythepoolman.com/features/) describe invoices, bids, stored cards, credit-card auto charge, invoice texts with a pay link, and ACH. Home footnotes: cards on every plan; **ACH, Apple Pay, and Google Pay require Pool Junction**. Junction is $25/mo for the whole company. Home publishes an optional **$1.50 convenience fee** on each card payment when that toggle is on. That is a pass-through convenience fee, not a published processor percentage. Processor % stays unpublished. Calculator copy remains $50 base + $15 per technician ($65 for one tech). Plus dollars stay unpublished.

**Poolside.** [Home](https://trypoolside.com/) and [pricing](https://trypoolside.com/pricing) returned the same client-rendered marketing shell (2026-09-18). That HTML prints quotes, "Send an invoice with a pay-now link," and plan cards: Starter $29.99 (1 tech, 50 customers), Growth $59.99 (2 techs, 125), Pro $99.99 (5 techs, 300), Enterprise Custom / Contact sales. The 50% first-month badge is a promo, not the list. Card on file, in-app charge, autopay, ACH, and a processor percentage are unpublished on that HTML. `/features` was the same shell.

**Jobber.** [Pricing](https://www.getjobber.com/pricing/) (fetched 2026-09-18) lists 1-user Core $49 / $39 / $29, Connect $139 / $119 / $99, Grow $199 / $169 / $149 (no-commit / 1-year monthly / annual). Core bullets: send invoices and receive online payments. Connect adds collect payments automatically. The same page publishes cards **2.9% + 30¢**, Tap to Pay **2.7% + 30¢**, ACH **1%**, and instant payouts **+1%**. ## Fit notes (not a ranking)

These are operating-model notes against the table. Seed profiles are linked.

**Need invoices and quotes in the same app.** All six publish some form of invoice plus a quote, estimate, or bid. Poolside's fetched HTML is the thinnest: quote and pay-now, without a billing-settings article.

**Need the office to charge a card on file.** Skimmer, Pool Brain, POM, Paythepoolman, and Jobber publish stored-card charges. Poolside does not on today's HTML.

**Need a pay link, not a stored card.** Skimmer emails a payment link. Pool Brain emails Pay Now. POM publishes pay now and Biller Genie. Paythepoolman texts a pay link. Poolside home prints a pay-now link. Jobber sends invoices clients pay online.

**Need scheduled autopay.** Skimmer AutoPay (generator invoices). Pool Brain Auto Charge (monthly invoices only). POM autopay via Biller Genie. Paythepoolman stored-card auto charge. Jobber Automatic Payments on Connect, recurring jobs. Poolside: not claimed.

**Need published ACH.** Skimmer help. Pool Brain help. POM billing page. Paythepoolman, with a Junction gate. Jobber pricing (US, 1%). Poolside: not claimed.

**Need a published processor rate.** Skimmer help publishes card and ACH rates. Jobber pricing publishes card, Tap to Pay, and ACH rates. POM publishes both 2.9% (invoice page) and 30 bp (terms). Pool Brain, Paythepoolman, and Poolside do not publish a processor percentage on the cited pages.

## Questions before you sign

1. On my plan, which of the seven claims are in writing: invoices or estimates, card on file, pay link, autopay, ACH, processor fee, plan gate?
2. Does autopay run on manual invoices, repair invoices, and monthly maintenance, or only on one of those?
3. For Skimmer: am I paying 2.9% + $0.25 (plus 0.5% if keyed or recurring) or ACH 1% + $0.25, and does AutoPay skip my manual invoices?
4. For Pool Brain: is my shop on Nuvei or Paya, what is the written processor rate, and does Auto Charge skip close-and-invoice jobs?
5. For POM: is the billed rate 2.9%, 30 basis points, both, or neither, and is the portal Biller Genie only?
6. For Paythepoolman: is Junction required for ACH, and is the $1.50 convenience fee on this month?
7. For Poolside: which plan stores a card, and what file is the pay-now link?
8. For Jobber: am I on Connect or higher for Automatic Payments, and do I accept the published 2.9% + 30¢ / 1% ACH rates?
9. For every product: what happens on a declined autopay, and who retries it?

## What we are not claiming

We have not sat in a merchant dashboard. We are not naming a winner. We are not treating a missing claim as proof a feature is absent. We are not inventing a Pool Brain or Paythepoolman processor percentage. We are not collapsing POM's 2.9% marketing line with the 30 bp terms fee. We are not treating Poolside's pay-now sentence as card-on-file or autopay. We are not asserting Jobber Core includes Automatic Payments. Jobber ACH help and invoice-feature marketing HTML were not retrieved on 2026-09-18.
